A14:Yes. Taipei City Government Parent-child Centers serve children of pre-school age. Please bring your child’s identification papers (such as National Health Insurance Card or Household Registration), and present it to the on-site staff for age confirmation.
A15:Taipei City Government Parent-child Centers are established with the consideration of the characteristics of various districts within the city and to provide a safe and free space where children of pre-school age can play together with their parents; these are the reasons these Centers are established in the first place. If your older child is already attending elementary school, each Center has a waiting area for older children that are not allowed to enter. However, the Centers’ staff are primarily dedicated to serve children of pre-school age and their parents, so it will not be possible for the staff to help you with taking care of your child waiting outside. Please understand and forgive the inconvenience. We suggest that if you wish to accompany your younger child and play together in the Center, perhaps you can ask another caregiver to take care of your older child. Then, you can accompany your younger child without worrying; and your older child may play games and have a learning experience more appropriate for his/her age.
A17:(1) Citizen ID No. is requested because it is used to verify member information; each person may apply for only one account.
(2) Taipei City Government Parent-child Centers and Friendly Childcare Centers are free resources and are intended to be used by as many children and caregivers as possible. A child’s Citizen ID No. is requested because it is used to make sure that there no multiple reservations are made.
(3) A child’s date of birth is requested because it is used to determine a child’s age and make sure that the child is eligible to use our services.

A18:Protective measures taken to protect personal information at this Site include: SSL encryption protocol for member data transfer; staff account privileges and authorization management, encrypted export of members’ data; and unlocking programs installed on specific computers. Only a handful of system administrators have query/amend access to members’ complete personal information. On-site staff do not have access to complete personal information. These are the measures taken to protect members’ personal information from being accessed without authorization.
A20:You will receive an email in approximately 10 minutes. Please do not use the Forgot Password function repeatedly; it may cause mistakes in the order of emails sent and cause you to open the wrong email and use the wrong information for password recovery, causing you to not be able to log-in.
A21:At Parent-child Centers we encourage parents and children to play together. A caregiver must accompany a child throughout his/her entire stay on the premises to prevent accidents from happening. In Taiwan, a person has to be 20 years old of age to assume full legal responsibilities. Therefore, we have a minimum age requirement for accompanying adults at Parent-child Centers.
